Leather Care

Cleaning

A good way of preserving the appearance of genuine leather is to use a soft dry cloth to gently sweep the leather product once in awhile.

Waterproofing

Leather is permeable and can never be entirely waterproof. Nonetheless, using beeswax creams can help to create a barrier against water.

Conditioning

Conditioning is similar to moisturizing. We moisturize our leather product to prevent it from drying out over time. This is also to simulate and supplement the natural oils of leather to extend the lifespan of the leather product.

You can start by gently dabbing a dollop of natural leather wax, balm or oil, conditioner on a soft cloth and rub gently all over. Leave on for around 10 minutes or so, and then wipe off the excess. Dry thoroughly in an airy room.

This conditioning method is recommended to be done once in a few months. Different aftercare leather product is used in different ways, for different purpose and has different effect, so please test on an inconspicuous corner before proceeding further.
